CRWR 321 - Special Topics in Fiction: The SentenceFC ARHU WADV 4 credits This 300-level fiction workshop focuses on the sentence: how diverse writers (including those in the class) construct it and use it, to varying effect. Readings will include multiple books about sentences and grammar, as well as a variety of contemporary short fiction writers who write and use sentences in unique, persuasive ways. Workshops in this course will primarily go line by line and sentence by sentence, analyzing the micro choices student writers make in their pieces. (We will look at the big picture too – but secondarily.) Admission by application.
Prerequisites: two 200-level CRWR courses.
