BIOL 410 - Seminar: Viral DiseasesHC NSMA 2 credits Viruses depend on living host cells and organisms belonging to every kingdom of life (Monera, Protista, Fungi, Plantae, Animalia). How do these infectious particles harm their hosts? How are they able to mutate rapidly? Are they living or non-living? These and related topics will be the subject of this seminar. Priority will be given first to senior biology majors, then seniors (any major), then juniors.
Prerequisites: BIOL 200 and BIOL 213.
