GEOS 419 - Geosciences Capstone SeminarHC NSMA 2 credits Students will read and discuss primary literature focused on a particular place but covering a wide range of geosciences topics. Students will be responsible for choosing readings and running discussions in collaboration with the course instructor. As part of these discussions, students will apply ethical and societal implications of geoscience decisions using geoethics frameworks. In addition, students will reflect upon and self-assess their learning over the course of the major and how that applies to future career goals. Geosciences students enroll in this seminar during their last spring semester in residence at Oberlin. Field trip(s) required.
