FCNSMAQFR4 credits Fresh water is a vital natural resource, and studying its distribution and movement on earth is critical for understanding climate and earth processes. This course provides an overview of the field of physical and applied hydrology from an earth science perspective. Students will learn the fundamental components and processes of the hydrologic cycle, including precipitation, evapotranspiration, infiltration, streamflow, and groundwater. Exercises with real-world examples and data will be used to explore concepts. Open to non-majors.
