NSCI 302 - Lab in Music Perception, Cognition, and NeuroscienceHC NSMA QFR 2 credits This laboratory course will equip students with the knowledge, research background, and laboratory and analysis skillset to understand the foundations of music cognition. Students will design and implement a novel research project to investigate the neural processing of music using psychophysics and electroencephalography. This course seeks to improve students’ ability to think critically and independently; thus, most course activities will center on study design, reading the primary literature, and scientific writing and presenting.
Prerequisites: NSCI 211 and (NSCI 303 or NSCI 357). NSCI 303 or NSCI 357 may be taken concurrently.
