NSCI 302 - Lab in Music Perception, Cognition, and Neuroscience
HCNSMAQFR2 credits This laboratory course will equip students with the knowledge, research background, and laboratory and analysis skillset to understand the foundations of music cognition. Students will design and implement a novel research project to investigate the neural processing of music using psychophysics and electroencephalography. This course seeks to improve students’ ability to think critically and independently; thus, most course activities will center on study design, reading the primary literature, and scientific writing and presenting.
Prerequisites: NSCI 211 and (NSCI 303 or NSCI 357). NSCI 303 or NSCI 357 may be taken concurrently.
