HIST 376 - Westworlds: Research Seminar in Western History

Both overcrowded and too lonesome, the American West has held an incomparable place in U.S. culture and imaginary for over 200 years. Students in this seminar will conduct original research on an individually-chosen topic in Western history and will write an article-length paper. We will focus on identifying a realistic project, completing basic research with primary sources, and the different stages required for a successful writing process.
