NSCI 211 - Neuroscience LaboratoryHC NSMA 2 credits This laboratory exposes students to a variety of research techniques employed by neuroscientists: neuroanatomical procedures for staining and examining brain tissue; physiological procedures for recording the electrical activity of nerve cells; as well as commonly-used techniques for exploring brain-behavior relationships (lesions, electrical and chemical stimulation). Some labs use computer simulations. Priority given to neuroscience and psychology majors.
Prerequisites: NSCI 201 (may be taken concurrently).
