HISP 337 - Cien Años de SoledadFC ARHU CD 4 credits A close reading of Nobel Prize winner Gabriel García Márquez’s bestselling novel will consider what Mario Vargas Llosa called the novela total as a springboard to Latin American history and politics, as well as a book-world sustaining a multiplicity of meanings. We will also analyze the new, critically acclaimed Netflix series and foreground new critical perspectives. Taught in Spanish.
Prerequisites: HISP 304.
