ECON 449 - Seminar: Economics and ImmigrationFC SSCI WINT 4 credits This seminar examines the movement of people between countries from an economics perspective. We will discuss the incentives for immigration and the economic impact of immigrants’ arrival in a new country and on the country of origin. We will examine theoretical models drawn from macro, public, labor, and international economics and consider policies both real and imagined as well as empirical evidence. Students will write, revise, and present an original research paper related to this topic.
Prerequisites: ECON 253 and ECON 255 Undergraduate Research Intensive
