MUSY 101 - Introduction to the History and Literature of MusicFC CNDP 4 credits A survey of the major developments in the history of Western music including jazz, vernacular music, electronic and computer music, and an introduction to ethnomusicology. Selected major musical works will be considered from a variety of historical standpoints. Conservatory students are encouraged to register for this course in their first year. Knowledge of musical notation.
Prerequisites: ESOL 130 (for students in ESOL sequence).
