BUSI 105 - Small Business TodayFC SSCI 4 credits The pandemic has further exaggerated the barriers faced by underserved small business owners who lack the resources to guide them in their growth efforts. In this course, students will learn the core small business skills of today through experiential learning, addressing real business challenges with the strategic mindset of an entrepreneur. Students will build a solid knowledge base in small business principles as they study business concepts, operations, marketing, accounting, finance, management, and scalability, utilizing these principles to assist underserved small businesses located in Lorain County. Emphasis is placed on the impact of small businesses on a local economy, encouraging students to regard small businesses as significant drivers of economic growth. Field trip(s) required.
