MUTH 260 - Large FormsFC CNDP 4 credits This course primarily investigates how large-scale pieces are organized. As a secondary goal, it encourages students to consider which musical parameters (texture, dynamic, meter, rhythm, harmony, melody, etc.) are important in the work, and how those parameters contribute to the form. It investigates solo, chamber, and symphonic works from 1780 to the present day.
Prerequisites: MUTH 132 Music Theory II.
