CIME 376 - Screening SpiritualityFC ARHU 4 credits Cinema and secularism arose together in the modern era, and many considered their destinies to be identical. Both this technology and worldview helped us to observe and modify nature in new ways. However, cinema’s historic obsession with the limits of what can be represented also led in a different direction, towards dimensions of meaning that are more difficult to see and consider. This course explores this alternative tradition in film and criticism.
Prerequisites: CINE 110 or CINE 298 or CINE 299. Undergraduate Research Intensive
