CRWR 229 - Dialogue and DialectFC ARHU CD WINT 4 credits In this course, we will study how dialogue patterns in fiction change between time, age, race, and geographical location. We will also explore dialects in literature from the Northern, Eastern, and Southern regions of the United States. Students will complete generative exercises and readings that will assist them in crafting authentic dialogue for their own fiction projects as well as providing constructive criticism for their classmates’ stories during workshop. A portfolio of revised work will be due at the end of the semester.
