ECON 222 - Economics of Education

How and why do we make decisions to invest in education? What is the effect of education on long-term outcomes? How can we best design and implement educational policies and interventions? We will explore topics in early childhood, K-12 education, and higher education, looking at research on the returns to education, school quality, the teacher labor market, and the educational environment.

Prerequisites: ECON 101.
