ARST 830 - Introduction to Wood Sculpture

An introduction to the materials, methods, and concepts of wood sculpture. Students will explore woodworking as it pertains to contemporary art through traditional and digital processes. Techniques will include the use of Fab Lab equipment including saws, hand tools, laser cutter and CNC router. Students will develop building skills while contemplating concepts relating to material, function and 3D space.
