REEE 210 - Art in Action: Contemporary Ukraine

We will get to know the projects of contemporary Ukrainian filmmakers, visual artists, poets, writers and archivist-activists. How is Russia’s full-scale invasion of Ukraine changing how they practice? Rather than being consumers of their work, we will explore with and through their projects how we want to respond to and participate in our own lives, and we will practice that. Opportunities for creative practice in conversation with the practitioners and their projects: we will alternate learning about a new project with taking time to practice our own creative response to it, and we will support each other as we do so. In English.
