CIME 130 - Introduction to Screenwriting

In this introductory course, students learn the fundamentals of screenwriting as they explore key elements and strategies for crafting original television and film scripts. Through weekly assignments, students learn to develop story ideas and concepts, create characters, build narrative structure, and explore themes. Through critical reading, active class discussion, writing exercises, and workshop and revision, students practice the various stages of the screenwriting process.

This course is appropriate for new students.
