Industries and governments are currently focusing their research towards achieving a sustainable energy supply due to the climate crisis, forcing the geologist workforce to adapt. This course will explore the different research avenues associated with sedimentary rocks that can help in the energy transition, such as lithium in sedimentary successions, critical elements in coal, and carbon capture, utilization, and storage.

This course is appropriate for new students.
