FCNSMA4 credits This course explores the dynamic interplay between the nervous and endocrine systems, focusing on how these interactions drive various behaviors and physiological processes. This course covers topics such as stress response, reproductive and social behaviors, mood regulation, aggression, energy balance, and circadian rhythms through the lens of neuroendocrinology. Particular emphasis is placed on how hormonal changes across the lifespan-from development, to puberty, to aging-affect neuroendocrine processes, as well as how environmental factors, such as endocrine disruptors and early life stress, shape neuroendocrine development and behavior.
