EXCO 623 - Steel Pan ExCo

1 credit
Students will learn and play various steel pans, as well as the engine room (auxiliary percussion). We will learn around 3-4 songs, with students rotating instruments on each song. The ExCo culminates in a performance with Oberlin Steel at the end of the semester. There will also be a learning component (including a research project) that entails listening to music, learning more about Trinidad, and the history and world of steel pan.
