EXCO 421 - GhibliCo 1 credit GhibliCo will be a discussion-based course about the Studio Ghibli movies. We will focus on the diverse plots, the role of art and music in storytelling, and other major concepts such as simplicity in life, friendship, environmentalism, anti-war sentiments, and spiritualism. Class discussions will stem from discussion questions based on these larger ideas, as well as concepts that are unique to each film, such as childhood innocence, mental health, and humanity.
