EXCO 707 - Intro to Ceramic Handbuilding

This beginner friendly course will cover foundational handbuilding skills used within the ceramic medium. Oberlin Pottery Co-op facilities will be utilized to guide students through the complete process of creation, from a ball of clay to a finished and kiln-fired sculptural or functional piece. Essential procedures and processes that emphasize safe studio practices and sound technique will be taught so that students can confidently create within the pottery studio environment.
