DANC 247 - Dance Pedagogy

This course is designed for students of diverse dance backgrounds to research and share dance teaching philosophies and practices from a wide array of sources and settings. Students will study current theories and approaches in dance eduaction, while gaining practical skills to increase their effectiveness as teachers. Coursework will include theory and practice, required reading and writing, class observations, and individual teaching exercises. Intermediate-level dance technique is required.
