TECH 204 - Multimedia, Interactivity, and Performance
FCCNDP4 credits This course introduces multi-media performance practices including video and projection mapping as well as Arduino sensors and other control interfaces via MIDI and OSC. The course expands upon Max/MSP skills and includes introductions to software such as TouchDesigner and Isadora for real-time video processing. Students will become familiar with hardware in the department’s Performance and Technology Lab (PeTaL), including the lighting board system and multiple projectors, speakers, and cameras. In addition to these technical skills, course content includes conceptual investigations into notions of ‘liveness’ and mediation in electronic music and experimental performance.
