GEOS 329 - Great Lakes HydrologyFC NSMA QFR 4 credits Fresh water is a vital natural resource with uneven distribution around the world. Representing approximately one-fifth of the earth’s freshwater supply, the Great Lakes are the largest global surface water system. This course investigates hydrologic concepts through the context of the Great Lakes basin. Labs and field trips will utilize hydrologic techniques and explore unique local field sites to understand the interactions between humans and water resources. Field trip(s) required.
Prerequisites: Any one of the following: GEOS 201, GEOS 204, GEOS 206, GEOS 210, or GEOS 212.
