APST 246 - Continuo Playing for Cello and Bass

A one-semester course designed to acquaint cellists and bassists with the technique, style, and literature associated with continuo playing. Repertoire will include instrumental accompaniment, commonly encountered oratorio and opera arias, and recitative playing in collaboration with opera scenes. Must be a cello or bass major or A&S minor in cello or bass.
