BUSI 123 - Organizational Behavior and Business EthicsFC SSCI 4 credits Management is fundamentally centered on people-it is carried out by people, for people, and with people in mind. Understanding the human element is thus essential for effectively managing an organization. The course begins by introducing key concepts in organizational behavior (OB), which examines how individuals behave within organizations and how to foster more effective workplaces. Topics include motivation, group dynamics, and leadership. Building on this foundation, the second part of the course focuses on ethics in management. It explores how organizational challenges in the marketplace can influence or clash with personal moral values and examines strategies for bridging these gaps through ethical decision-making and management practices. Field trip(s) required.
