BIOL 421 - Seminar: Ecology of the Great Lakes RegionFC NSMA WADV 4 credits We will explore the importance and complexity of the ecological interactions occurring in the Great Lakes Region while improving skills involved with reading, understanding, and conveying information from primary literature. This course will include discussions of historical and current conservation efforts from the perspectives of popular science writing as well as primary literature. Students will practice leading discussions and summarizing data in oral, written, and poster presentations. Reserved for third years and higher.
Prerequisites: BIOL 200 or BIOL 210/211.
