HISP 361 - Exploring New Genres: Latin American Women Writers
FCARHUCD4 credits While some twentieth-first-century fiction adheres to conventional genre structures, many works blur the lines between literary genres, creating hybrid forms that defy the possibility of representing the extreme horrors of our necropolitical present, even in the most dark-realism fashion. In this class, we’ll read about women writers who explore the erosion of the human condition through new and complex literary forms. Taught in Spanish.
Prerequisites: HISP 304 and/or advanced language placement. This course is appropriate for new students based on placement exam.
