LEAD 192 - Essentials of Impact Finance

Taught by senior practitioners, this course provides a practical introduction to impact finance. Students will learn about Community Development Financial Institutions (CDFIs), alternative investments, ESG principles, impact measurement, financial analysis for impact projects, and the role of finance in emerging economies. The course begins with lectures that build foundational knowledge, followed by the development of an individual research proposal on a chosen impact finance topic. Through case studies, interactive discussions, and real-world examples, students will gain the skills and insights needed to understand and apply finance in promoting economic, social, and environmental objectives.
