Kinetics of chemical reactions, quantum theory of atomic and molecular structure, and molecular spectroscopy. Students must register for both lecture and laboratory.

Prerequisites: CHEM 102 and (PHYS 104 or PHYS 111 (may be taken concurrently)) and MATH 134.
