RELG 224 - Business Ethics

This course explores the theoretical issue of economic justice and the practical challenge of making just business decisions in a complex environment, including both internal business considerations such as terms of employment as well as the external impact of business decisions. The course begins with an examination of major ethical frameworks, and includes attention to religious and social movements that have shaped values related to ethical business practices in the U.S. Particular attention will be paid to issues such as corporate social responsibility, workplace integrity, and legal dimensions of just and unjust business practices. Case studies will be used throughout.
