ARBC 102 - Beginning Arabic II

FC ARHU CD
4 credits
This course builds on the foundational skills developed in ARBC 101. Students will expand their vocabulary and deepen their understanding of Arabic culture while further advancing their listening, speaking, reading, and writing skills. Students engage in simple conversations, read short texts, and write short messages and descriptions related to familiar topics and everyday situations including hobbies, basic routines, education, and professions. By the end of the semester, students will have reached the Novice High/Intermediate Low proficiency level in Arabic based on the ACTFL Proficiency Guidelines. At this proficiency level, students can perform simple communicative tasks in everyday situations such as discussing daily activities, exchanging basic information, and expressing personal preferences, all in a culturally appropriate manner.

Prerequisites: ARBC 101 or equivalent.
