PSYC 408 - Seminar in Human - Canine Bonding

FC SSCI
4 credits
This seminar explores the human-canine connection through the lens of psychology. We will dive deep into the world of therapy dogs to understand the various ways they can be utilized in a wide range of settings. Equally important, we will reveal what a therapy dog is NOT and consider ways other working dogs may be confused with therapy dogs. Students can expect to deepen their understanding of human-canine bonding, the benefits of therapy dogs, and potential program developments.

Prerequisites: PSYC 214 or 215.
