CIME 389 - Advanced Editing

This course focuses on professional techniques for editing narrative, documentary, experimental, and promotional films. Topics covered will include: media management, timeline setup, audio editing, audio mixing, raw workflow, basic color grading, and polishing and exporting a film for distribution or exhibition. We will also explore how editing can affect the creative impact of projects in a variety of genres. Students entering this class will be expected to have a basic knowledge of editing in Premiere Pro or a similar editing software. This course may be repeated for credit up to two times.
