ENGL 406 - It’s Alive!: Stitching the Monster

FC ARHU WADV
4 credits
Apart from reading (and rereading) Mary Shelley’s Frankenstein, we will devote the majority of our time in this course to unearthing the extraordinarily rich contexts-to unstitching and stitching the monster, if you will. This is a capstone seminar, and as such is designed to provide you with an occasion to study and research a topic in depth and offer necessary guidance and tools for undertaking and executing the project. You will be responsible for formulating and exploring a topic or set of questions about Frankenstein, a process that will eventuate in a 20-25-page research essay. This course is reserved for seniors only.
