ARST 002 - 2D Foundations

This 2-credit module course introduces students to the foundations of two-dimensional design. Students learn fundamentals of image creation through core principles of 2D design, with assignments emphasizing technical development. Through approaches such as drawing and design, students build a versatile toolbox of 2D skills. Class sessions include demonstrations, lectures, discussions, and critiques. Students are expected to complete assignments outside of class time. Each foundations module is offered during the first and second half of the semester, and students are strongly encouraged to take two different foundations modules within a single semester.

This course is appropriate for new students.
