ARST 004 - 4D FoundationsHC ARHU 2 credits This 2-credit module course introduces students to the foundations of four-dimensional practices. Students learn fundamentals of time-based media and digital processes through core 4D tools (i.e. printing, scanning, software, camera usage, etc.). Through approaches such as digital imaging, sound, and video, students build a versatile toolbox of 4D skills. Class sessions include demonstrations, lectures, discussions, and critiques. Students are expected to complete assignments outside of class time. Each foundations module is offered during the first and second half of the semester, and students are strongly encouraged to take two different foundations modules within a single semester
This course is appropriate for new students.
