ARST 030 - Introduction to Digital 3D Modeling & Printing

This is a 2-credit introductory course on the foundations of digital 3D design. Students learn fundamentals of digital modeling with assignments emphasizing technical development. Through free, open-source apps such as Tinkercad and Blender, students build a versatile toolbox of 3D/4D skills. Class sessions include demonstrations, lectures, discussions, and critiques. Students are expected to complete assignments outside of class time. Students may not earn credit for both ARST 030 and ARST 130.

This course is appropriate for new students.
