NSCI 499 - Honors in NeuroscienceFC NSMA WADV 4 credits This capstone course is designed to offer Neuroscience majors an intensive, supervised research experience in Neuroscience, coupled with professional development. Students interested in such an experience should discuss the Honors program with their academic advisor and should identify a faculty mentor in their junior year. Research projects will be designed in conjunction with a faculty mentor and completed as part of a two-semester Honors Capstone. Students will develop their critical thinking skills, understand the research process, and master scientific writing, quantitative and qualitative analyses, and public speaking. Additional emphasis will be placed on research methods, professional skill development, and ethics. This course is intended for rising seniors majoring in neuroscience who have completed at least two post-core lectures and lab.
