CRWR 293 - The Art of Revision

Novice writers sometimes think “first thought, best thought,” while most published authors revise their fiction through multiple drafts. This class introduces students to various theories and methods of revision through hands-on practice and reading established authors’ writings about the topic. Before the module begins, all enrolled students must have a complete draft of a short story, 5-12 double-spaced pages in length, on which they wish to perform iterative revisions for the duration of the course.
