We will visit the Allen Memorial Art Museum, Oberlin Conservatory, Special Collections at Oberlin Library, and other venues to learn about these visual artists, composers, and writers, and to examine their creations in the broader cultural and historical context. Expanding your vocabulary, this course will develop your ability to discuss art in German and to engage deeply with specific artworks on the formal and conceptual level. Taught in German.
