PSYC 203 - Child and Adolescent PsychopathologyFC SSCI 4 credits In this course, students will take a developmental approach to abnormal psychology to examine the etiology, symptoms, course, and treatment of psychological and neurodevelopmental disorders in infancy, childhood, and adolescence. This course will emphasize key themes in developmental psychopathology, including continuity between typical and atypical development, risk and resilience, developmental cascades, and multiple levels of analysis. Students will also be exposed to current research in childhood disorders.
Prerequisites: COGS 101 or NSCI 201 or PSYC 100.
