PSYC 319 - Advanced Methods in Longitudinal ResearchFC SSCI QFR 4 credits This course is designed to introduce students to the value of longitudinal research methods as well as the challenges associated with collecting, analyzing, and interpreting longitudinal data. A combination of lecture, discussion, and practical application will be used to cover theoretical, methodological, and statistical issues in longitudinal research. Examples and readings will span various methodologies (e.g., observational, experimental), developmental topics (e.g., cognitive, physical, social development), and life stages (e.g., early childhood, emerging adulthood). Students will analyze and interpret longitudinal data in R to answer developmental research questions in their own areas of interest.
Prerequisites: (PSYC 204 or PSYC 216 or PSYC 223 or PSYC 203) and PSYC 300. Undergraduate Research Intensive
