PSYC 402 - Seminar in Children’s Mental Health

This seminar explores topics related to children’s typical and atypical social, emotional, and behavioral development from infancy through middle childhood. This course includes discussions of both risk and protective factors as well as the spectrum of prevention to individualized intervention. Course topics vary each semester and may include (but are not limited to) attachment and caregiving, stress and regulation, early care and education, social-emotional learning, educational and public policy, child and family therapies, or special education.

Prerequisites: PSYC 203 or PSYC 204 or PSYC 214 or PSYC 215 or PSYC 216 or PSYC 223 or PSYC 226.
