WRCM 208 - Writing in a Multimedia World

This course engages with the five main modes of communication-visual, aural, spatial, linguistic, and gestural-to consider how to effectively communicate in a complex, technologically-mediated world. This class explores how to critically read and rhetorically deliver writing that uses multiple media and modes. Students will develop strategies to ensure their multimodal projects are as accessible, usable, and engaging to their audiences as possible. We will compose web-based, print, and hybrid documents as well as other genres that accompany them.

This course is appropriate for new students.
