MTHR 351 - Special Topics in Music Theater - Dance

This course is an advanced level class for the most advanced dancers of the musical theater program. The goal of the class is to strengthen the technique and prepare the advanced student for the rigors and demands of professional musical theater choreography. Key topics include a deeper understanding of weight placement, body alignment, flexibility, strength work, balance, upper and lower body aesthetic, footwork and terminology. This class is a practical application class for students to learn and apply the exercises that will improve their technique and performance overall.
