BIOL 240 - The Spectrum of SexFC NSMA 4 credits Sex determination is naturally diverse and complex throughout the animal kingdom. This course explores two definitions of sex: mechanisms of sex determination and the processes of sexual reproduction. Students will examine endocrine regulation of sexual development and expression in humans, the range of animal behaviors surrounding reproduction, the evolution of sexual selection, and the biology of sex transition in species like clownfish.
Prerequisites: BIOL 100.
