APST 803 - Oberlin Synthesizer Ensemble

The Oberlin Synthesizer Ensemble will devise live performance scenarios for the TIMARA Department synthesizer collection. A variety of experimental improvisation techniques may be employed and a variety of scoring techniques may also be developed, including text, music and graphic notation. The full ensemble will meet weekly and smaller sub-groups will be expected to create work outside of class time. The semester will culminate in a public performance showcasing the group’s work. This ensemble is open to all students, college or conservatory.
